Engineer's Day was celebrated at PET Engineering College by the department of First Year and IIC PETEC Cell on September 15, 2023. A Special Quiz for first year engineering students was conducted. The event was felicitated by Dr. Madhan Kumar K, Principal, PET Engineering College, and Dr. Mookkan S, HoD/Mathematics & First Year Coordinator. Mrs. Bagavathy Lekshmi Ammal, HoD/English, elaborated on the rules and content of the quiz. Mr. T. M. Mohamed Usman, President, IIC-PETEC, gave an overview of Engineer's Day. Mrs. Sumithra Devi J, AP/Mathematics, was the coordinator of the event.
A total of 250 first year engineering students participated in the quiz. The quiz was conducted in two rounds, and the top 10 students from the first round were selected for the final round. Mr. Durai Relan from Section D/CSE Department won the first place, Mr. Thangaraj from Section C/ECE Department won the second place, and Mr. Habeeb Nagoor Meeran from Section B (AI&DS) and Mr. Mohamed Riswan from Section E/CSE won the third place.
