Event Report


Literina – 23 a program focusing on the richness of Tamil language was organized by the department of Science and Humanities on 11/07/2023. Ms. S. Abinaya, I Year ECE delivered the welcome address. The Principal Dr. K. Madhan Kumar felicitated the gathering. Prof. H. Hameem Mustaffa, Director, Keetru Centre for Oriental Research was the resource person and he delivered a guest lecture on Heritage of Tamil which is strongly rooted in its heritage despite the dominance of English and technology.

From architectural marvel to fascinating sport Tamil is a rich language and Tamil Nadu is a land of cultural richness. He also emphasized on scientific Tamil which aimed to popularize science through Tamil and to create awareness of scientific achievements and technological progress. He also appreciated the initiative taken by the government to popularize the glory and richness of Tamil. Tamil is the only language spoken by over nine crore people. Tamil language has made its mark and mastery in literature, Science, Medicine, Mathematics, Geography, Engineering and technology. Many events like Tamil elocution, verse writing and essay writing were conducted and the winners were appreciated.

The Managing trustee Mr. A. Sahul Hameed, Mr. S. Khaja Mohideen, Secretary Mr. S. M. Jamaludeen, Treasurer graced the program. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. K. Sivamalar of I Year CSE. The necessary arrangements were made by the faculty of Science and Humanities.
