In its historic mission to create globally competent engineers and technologists, PET Engineering College set yet another milestone on its 19th Graduation Day for 2020 batch passed out students held virtually on September 22, 2021. The chairman, Prof. P. O. J. Lebba, Popular Educational Trust presided over the function. The Principal Dr. K. Madhan Kumar, welcomed the audience and gave a concise report on the activities of the institute. The Chief guest, Dr. Anbu Rathinavel, partner and Chief Design Officer of Intellect design Arena, delivered the graduation day address and digitally presented the degree to the graduates. In his address, he delivered an enriching speech peppered with wisdom quotes from different walks of life. He initially congratulated the graduates in which he said that this day is indeed, the biggest milestone in their life. He pointed out that success cannot be attained without crossing hurdles in life. As the graduates are entering into the new phase of life he shared his mantra and quoted couplet 467 from Thirukural "Consider, and then undertake a matter; after having undertaken it to say, we will consider", is folly. Always have the positive attitude in life and motivated the students to confront fear in life by observing empathetically what is happening around them. He also urged the students to start investing time in books, grab every opportunity and create a self image. In his felicitation, the chairman Prof. P. O. J. Lebba told students to continually upgrade their knowledge and skills to remain employed in a competitive, rapidly changing technological environment. A total of 113 students from various branches B.E., M.E., MCA and MBA were conferred with degree. A. Surya of MCA department was honoured for securing the first rank in the University. Mr. M. Syed Mohamed, Managing Trustee, Mr. S. Khaja Mohideen, the secretary, Mr. S. M. Jamaludeen, the treasurer, Popular Educational Trust, graced the ceremony. The Co-ordinators of Graduation day Ms. C. S. Sree Thayaneadeswari of ECE Department and Dr. T. Rajajeyaseelan HOD of Mechanical department made the necessary arrangements for the program. |
