A Seminar on "Energy Conservation" was conducted by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Er. R. Perumal Assistant Engineer TANGEDCO, Tuticorin was the resource person. M. S. Naveen III Year EEE welcomed the gathering. Dr. K. Madhan Kumar, Principal gave the Presidential address. Mrs. R Kalai Selvi HOD/EEE introduced the chief guest.
The Resource person highlighted on the various aspects of Energy conservation. His talk focused on the Current power scenario in India, Need for energy conservation, Renewable energy resources load dispatch centre and about Bureau of Energy Efficiency. He also promoted the students to take up promising career. He gave an insight on the need for celebrating energy conservation week. A graphical representation on the gradual increase of power generation was also shown. He stressed on the point that energy conservation should be imbibed as a practice for the better future of this progressing nation. The distinguished guest illuminated the minds of the students on boundless potential of Renewable energy sources. The event aimed to shed light on the importance of renewable energy in shaping a sustainable future. He delved into the intricacies of solar, wind, hydro and other renewable energy sources elucidating on the advantages and challenges.
