In its historic mission to create globally competent engineers and technologists, PET Engineering College set yet another milestone on its 21st Graduation Day held on December 12, 2023. The academic chairman of Popular Educational Trust , Prof. P. O. J. Lebba, presided over the function. The Principal Dr. K. Madhan Kumar, welcomed the audience and gave a concise report on the activities of the institute. The Chief Guest, Dr. V. Narayanan, Director, Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC), Valiamala, Trivandrum, delivered the graduation day address and presented the degree to the graduates. In his address, he delivered an enriching speech peppered with wisdom quotes from different walks of life. He advised the students to remember, look back and acknowledge with gratitude everyone who were behind their achievement. He highlighted on the tremendous growth of the students in different sectors. He directed the students to pursue learning continuously. He also pointed out that most of the key positions are held by Indians all over the world out of their hard work and dedication. The guest speaking on the occasion said, “Dream big be imaginative and work with team spirit”. He quoted the words of the great poet Thiruvalluvar and insisted the students to think great to become great. “The stalks of water - flowers are proportionate to the depth of water. So is men's greatness proportionate to their minds. He insisted that it is imperative to be innovative and groom themselves to meet the demands of the country to continually upgrade their knowledge and skills to remain employed in a competitive, rapidly changing technological environment. A total of 300 students from various branches B.E., M.E., MCA and MBA were conferred with degree. Ms. Ummu Novzeen of MBA department was honoured for securing the 21st rank in the University. Mr. A. Shahul Hameed, Managing Trustee, Mr. S. Khaja Mohideen, the Secretary, Mr. S. M. Jamaludeen, the Treasurer, Popular Educational Trust, and other Trust Members graced the ceremony. Dr. T. Rajajeyaseelan, HOD of MECH and Mrs. C. Reckha, HOD of ECE made the necessary arrangements for the program. |
