Report on 11th State Level Inter School Competitions At PET Engineering College

The 11th State Level Inter School Competitions, Quiz programme and Open House (Exhibition) was held on 12th January 2012 at PET Engineering College, Vallioor. The Principal of the College Dr.A.Syed Abu Thaheer presided over the competitions. Mr. B. Bhagavathi, Chief Edutional Officer of Tirunelveli was the Guest of Honour. Dr. C. Eugin Franco, Head of the Dept. of Commerce, St.Xavier’s College, Palayamkottai delivered a special lecture on the need to set up a goal in life and to work for the aim, till it is achieved. Dr. Vijayalakshmi, Convenor of Microsoft Company and Microsoft Training Course at PET Engineering College addressed the students. Dr.S. Manova Raja, CEO, Fragrhen Academy, Coimbatore was the Quiz Master and he conducted the quiz programme in a captivating manner.

Talent tests and quiz programme were conducted for the tenth, eleventh and twelfth standard students of Tamil and English medium separately and prizes were given to the students. Nearly 400 students from different schools of Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Kanyakumari Districts participated in the Talent search competitions.

N.Chidambareswari, a 12th Standard student of Senthil Murugan Government Higher Secondary School, Tiruchendur, the top scorer of the competitions was selected as the best student, who is eligible for undergoing four years of Engineering education at PET Engineering College, Vallioor, free of cost.

Correspondent S.M.S Hameed, Dean Prof.S. Abubucker, Secretary M. Syed Mohamed, Managing Trustee A. Abdul Razak and Purchase Coordinator S. Mohamed Yousuf felicitated the students who attended the programme.
