We are the very first Engineering College in down south Tamil Nadu that having maximum no. of International Higher Level Certification holders of Microsoft. We have trained 50 rural Engineering students in our college for this certification which software development skill as a tool. As per the curriculum software development in web technology is not in the Anna University Syllabus. But all the software development Industries and MNC’s of global level needs hands with software development skill to work in the Industry.

Previously, before recession Industry is to pickup fresher’s and train them for 11 months and then placed in the Industry. After recession the scenario changed. The software development Industry wants hand only with development and communication skills.

As a pioneer we have started this training pattern with the support of Microsoft in our college. As a result all the 50 students have passes both the two online examinations at the very first attempt itself.

If the students passed on online examination of Microsoft they are certified as MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional). If they passed the two examinations of the same higher level cadre they are certified as MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist). Even in Software Development Industry only few MCTS are available hardly 5 or 10 among 2000. But in our College, we have got 50 MCTS that is 100 MCPs. At once the students passed the examination their Name, College Name and address are published in the Microsoft website.

MNCs used to recruit the certified hands from the online Microsoft website MCTS is highly valued internationally. Suppose if the students wants to go abroad for higher studies or job they are welcome with red carpet in US and UK because, it’s a very tough examination with the required skills. The minimum salary is $5000 per month.

Being a rural Engineering College we have trained the students free of cost. Collector, being the Chief Citizen of the district, comes and encourages the students and bless them. They will be highly motivated. They will be honored for their different skills. They will be competent to fight with the global software industry.
